Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Abokina app and website at https://abokina.africa, operated by Sauri Logistics Nigeria ("Abokina", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Abokina, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Abokina.
Who can use Abokina
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may use Abokina only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for all activity on your account. Give us accurate information when you sign up, and tell us at support@abokina.africa if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.
Using Abokina
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Abokina for your own learning. You agree not to:
- Copy, resell or redistribute our lessons, audio, images or other content.
- Reverse-engineer the app, or scrape or extract data from our servers.
- Interfere with the app's security or overload our systems.
- Upload content that is unlawful, offensive, or that you do not have the right to use, including as a profile photo.
- Use the AI tutor to create harmful, abusive or illegal content.
Our content
All lessons, audio recordings, images, text, designs and the Abokina name and logo belong to Abokina or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. These terms do not give you any ownership of them.
Your content
You keep ownership of the content you provide, such as your profile photo and your messages to the AI tutor. You give us permission to store and process that content only to run and improve Abokina, as described in our Privacy Policy.
AI tutor
The AI tutor uses artificial intelligence to generate replies and corrections. Its answers may sometimes be inaccurate, incomplete or unnatural Hausa. Use it as a learning aid, not as an authoritative source for translation, legal, medical or other important matters.
Paid features
If we offer paid subscriptions or purchases, their price, billing period and renewal terms will be shown before you buy. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are also subject to those stores' terms, and refunds are handled under their policies.
Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep Abokina available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors. We may add, change or remove features or content at any time.
Ending your account
You can stop using Abokina and delete your account at any time from Settings > Delete account. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms or if we must do so by law. When your account is closed, your right to use Abokina ends.
Disclaimers
Abokina is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no warranties of any kind, including that Abokina will meet your learning goals or that its content is free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Abokina is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 10,000 Naira if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Nigeria, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you in the app or by email and update the effective date above. If you keep using Abokina after the changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.
